Manager Claim and Response Policy
Last updated: June 13, 2026
Claiming a Manager Profile
An individual identified on a manager profile may request to "claim" that profile to confirm it represents them and to gain access to certain response tools.
Verification
We require reasonable verification before granting a claim, such as confirming a work email, employer relationship, or other identifying signal. Verification details are kept internal and are not displayed on the public profile.
What Claimed Managers Can Do
- View their aggregate ratings and overall trends.
- Respond publicly to general patterns reflected in their reviews.
- Report specific content they believe violates our policies.
- Request correction of factual profile information, such as title or company.
What Claimed Managers Cannot Do
- See the identity of any anonymous reviewer.
- Demand removal of a review solely because they disagree with it.
- Contact, attempt to identify, or retaliate against a reviewer.
- Edit, delete, or suppress reviews directly.
Responding to Review Trends
Claimed managers may add a public response addressing overall patterns in their feedback (for example, describing changes made in response to common themes). Responses must comply with our Community Guidelines and may not target or attempt to identify a specific reviewer.
Reporting Inaccurate Content
If a claimed manager believes a specific review contains a false statement of fact or otherwise violates our policies, they may submit a report through our Takedown and Dispute Policy process for review.
Reviewer Privacy
Protecting reviewer anonymity is core to how beforethejob.app works. We do not disclose reviewer identity to claimed managers under any circumstance arising from a disagreement with review content.
No Retaliation
Claimed managers must not use information from this Service to retaliate against any employee, whether or not that employee submitted a review. Suspected retaliation may result in removal of claim privileges and other account action.
Profile Updates
Claimed managers may request updates to factual, non-review information on their profile (such as title or current employer). We may decline updates that appear intended to obscure accurate review history.
Removal Requests
Requests to remove an entire profile (for example, due to a name match error or a person no longer being a manager) can be submitted through our Legal Contact page and will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
