Last updated: June 13, 2026

How to Report Content

If you believe content on beforethejob.app violates our policies or your rights, submit a report through our Legal Contact page or email legal@beforethejob.app.

What to Include in a Report

  • A link or clear identification of the content in question
  • The specific policy or right you believe was violated
  • An explanation of why the content is false, violates policy, or infringes your rights
  • Contact information so we can follow up if needed

Manager or Company Disputes

A manager or company representative disputing review content should explain specifically what is factually inaccurate, rather than simply disagreeing with the opinion expressed. See our Manager Claim and Response Policy.

Defamation Concerns

If you believe content about you is false and defamatory, identify the specific statement and explain why it is false. Statements of opinion, even unflattering ones, are generally not treated as defamatory.

Privacy Concerns

If content discloses private personal information (such as a home address, phone number, or medical information), identify the specific information and its location so we can review it promptly.

Impersonation Concerns

If you believe an account or piece of content is impersonating you or your company, include information that helps us confirm your identity or authority to act on the company's behalf.

Review Process

We review reports against our Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, and applicable law. We may request additional information before reaching a decision.

Temporary Restrictions

In some cases, we may temporarily restrict visibility of content while a report is under review, even before a final determination is made.

Possible Outcomes

  • No action — content remains as published
  • Content edited (such as redacting a specific detail)
  • Comment removed while structured ratings remain
  • Review hidden pending further information
  • Profile updated
  • Account action against the submitting user
  • Escalation for legal review

Appeals

Either party to a dispute may request reconsideration of a decision by providing new or additional information through the same contact channel.
